With the Byes Project, I’ve added 18 more games and made one correction to a score I had wrong. Here’s what’s new:

Lovell’s 14-6 loss to the Billings West, Mont., JV on Oct. 13, 1971

Lusk’s 20-0 loss to Belle Fourche, S.D., on Sept. 3, 1971

Sheridan’s 23-0 loss to Billings West, Mont., on Sept. 11, 1976

Star Valley’s 25-6 win over Spanish Fork, Utah, on Aug. 28, 1976

Green River’s 30-13 loss to Boxelder, Utah, on Sept. 2, 1977

Greybull’s 40-20 win over the Sheridan JV on Sept. 2, 1977

Star Valley’s 29-24 win over Lovell on Sept. 16, 1977

Jackson’s 13-0 loss to Teton, Idaho, on Sept. 16, 1977

Evanston’s 7-0 win over Bear Lake, Idaho, on Sept. 8, 1978

Saratoga’s 44-0 win over the Natrona JV on Sept. 11, 1982

Basin’s 40-8 win over the Cody sophs on Sept. 2, 1982

Burlington’s 34-8 win over Ten Sleep on Oct. 14, 1987

Pavillion’s 19-6 win over Morton on Sept. 28, 1962

Morton’s 13-12 win over Manderson on Oct. 3, 1962

Basin’s 31-13 win over the Worland JV on Sept. 5, 1964

Lyman’s 41-0 win over Wyoming Indian on Oct. 3, 1986

Lyman’s 34-0 loss to Lehi, Utah, on Sept. 11, 1987

Greybull’s 24-6 win over the Billings Central, Mont., JV on Sept. 12, 1970

I also corrected Green River’s 26-8 loss to Bonneville, Utah, on Sept. 9, 1977. I had listed Green River winning 26-0.

All of these scores and updated records are reflected on all the relevant pages.

The Byes Project itself is going pretty well. Nearly every week for the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s has been accounted for, and every week in the 2000s is accounted for. I’m trying to wrap some of this stuff up before I continue to plow backward into the 1940s; I’m about halfway done researching 1945, while 1946-50 are done. Any additional years I get done before Thanksgiving will be uploaded at the end of the 2009 season.

As grad school takes up most of my time, site updates might be posted less frequently…. and writing about the 2009 season itself will probably cut into some research time, too. But that’s OK. I’m still having fun with this!
