Three players have been added to the South roster for the annual Shrine Bowl all-star football game.
Bryson Delbridge of Cheyenne Central, Marcus Kalista of Rock Springs and Conner Smith of Star Valley will join the team, executive director John Cundall said via email. They replace Eric Lundgren of Cheyenne Central, McCabe Smith of Star Valley and Ruger Lewis of Pine Bluffs.
The game will be June 10 in Casper.

Green River’s Drew Wilson will join the South squad for this summer’s Shrine Bowl all-star football game.

Pine Bluffs’ Alex Graves, Star Valley’s Kellen Hansen and Buffalo’s Caden Milmine have joined the rosters for the 2017 Shrine Bowl all-star football game.
Graves and Hansen will be on the South squad, replacing Star Valley’s Collin McGinley and Eric Jamerman. Milmine will be on the North team, replacing Rocky Mountain’s Cole Simmons.

The five-member assistant coach groups are set for the North and South squads for the 2017 Shrine Bowl all-star football game.
The North squad, with head coach John Scott of Tongue River, will have Gillette’s Vic Wilkerson and Jason Gill, Riverton’s Pat Patterson, Greybull’s Marty Wrage and Meeteetse’s Matt Jensen on staff.
The South squad will be led by Pine Bluffs’ Will Gray along with assistants Pat Fackrell of Evanston, Corey Wheeler of Rawlins, Mitch Espeland of Pinedale, Brian Anderson of Pine Bluffs and Marvin “Trip” Applequist of Farson.
The staffs for the 44th annual game were announced by Shrine Bowl Executive Director John Cundall on Wednesday.
Each staff will pick 36 players plus several alternates for their respective squads. Those selections will be announced this spring.
The game is June 10 at Natrona County High School in Casper.

The head coaches from Tongue River and Pine Bluffs — the two schools that played each other in the Class 1A 11-man championship game this season — will be the head coaches for the 44th annual Shrine Bowl.
Will Gray from Pine Bluffs will lead the South team, while John Scott will lead the North, a release from the Shrine Bowl said.
“It is very exciting to work with the best of the best while also representing a great cause,” Gray said in the release. “I hope to represent our school and community well and have some fun doing it.”
Gray will be a head coach in the Shrine Bowl for the first time. Scott was previously a Shrine Bowl head coach in 1995 while at Kemmerer and 2001 while at Gillette.
“I am grateful to have been chosen for this opportunity and look forward to teaming with Wyoming’s best high school players and the Shriners towards such a worthy cause,” Scott said in the release.
The coaches will choose a coaching staff from across classes from their region, and those staffs will assemble the rosters for each squad.
Gray’s Hornets beat Scott’s Eagles 10-7 in the 1A 11-man title game in November.
The Shrine Bowl will be June 10, 2017, in Casper. The North leads the series 22-18-3. The North has won the last four Shrine Bowls, including last year, 41-26.

The 2016 Shrine Bowl game raised $33,000 for the Shriners Hospital for Children.
The annual all-star football game, played in June in Casper, raises money for the hospital, which specializes in the treatment of children.
The Shrine Bowl’s board of directors made the donation to the Shriners Hospital in Salt Lake City, Shrine Bowl executive director John Cundall said in a release. The Shrine Bowl players traditionally visit the hospital in Utah the week of the game.
The game is in its 43rd year.
“The Shrine Bowl was an amazing experience to see all the players come together for a great cause,” 2016 North coach Jon Vance of Kelly Walsh said in the release. “To see the relationships develop over a single week was incredible. I am very grateful for the opportunity to help support the kids.”
Shriners Hospitals operate in 22 locations across North America. The treatment and services provided by the hospitals are at no cost to patients or their families.
“The Shrine Bowl is more than a football game,” 2016 South coach Mark Lenhardt of Torrington said in the release. “It’s an opportunity to come together as a state to support an amazing cause, which will stay with these young men for their entire life. I’m honored to be a part of something that makes such a difference.”

One individual record was tied during the North’s 41-26 victory against the South in Saturday’s Shrine Bowl all-star football game in Casper, and a few other performances earned top-three spots on the Wyoming Shrine Bowl records list:
Individual records
Star Valley’s Reese Hiibel tied the Shrine Bowl record for touchdown passes with four; that mark has been reached three other times.
Dontae Crow of Sheridan finished tied for third all-time in receiving yards (133) and touchdown catches (two).
Southeast’s Jeff Burroughs matched Crow with two touchdown catches to also tie for third all-time.
Natrona’s Cody Wilkinson is No. 2 in the record books for made PATs in a game with five.
Team records
The North team matched the second-best offensive scoring output with five offensive touchdowns.
The South’s combined 25 completions is second-best all time, and its 287 passing yards is third-best all-time.
The North’s 41 points tied for second-most all-time.
The North now leads the all-time series 22-18-3; the North has won four Shrine Bowls in a row and six of the past seven.
