To bad—these games need to stay in hometowns across wyoming——8,000 fans crammed in a 35,000 seat stadium has no atmopshere—–when it comes to state championship football games, its not just about the kids—its about the entire town/city—-I have broadcast two state championship games in the past 7 years, both on the road, and it was electric—–I can only imagine what it would be like at ole Wolves stadium—-
I completely agree with Mr. Core. I’ve called state championship games in volleyball, football, basketball and wrestling. The only neutral site event that equals a hometown football title game is the State Wrestling atmosphere which is coming up in less than two weeks.
I can only hope that if the experience of playing at War Memorial isn’t what the board thought it could be, that they make the right decision and put it back into the host towns.
