Once again, Jim Craig in Lusk is our all-star of the week. This time, he dug through the archives and found the 1953 all-class all-state team. That team is now posted with the all-state listings. As always, thanks for the help, Jim!

Jim Craig of Lusk has been a busy guy. His latest addition to the archives here is a copy of the 1952 Class AA all-state team. That year, state champ Sheridan landed seven of the 11 first-team selections. Thanks again to Jim for all his help!
See the team here.

We have another early all-state team added to the site thanks to Jim Craig of Lusk, who sent me a copy of the 1951 Class AA all-state squad. Thanks to Jim for the help!
You can see the team here.

The 1949 all-state team has been added to the all-state listings. Thanks a ton to Jim Craig in Lusk for providing me with the info for the team!
You also might notice two other small changes to the all-state listings. Listings are now broken down by decade rather than having all the listings on one page; I had to do this because the page was so big, it exceeded my platform’s capacity for information it is capable of displaying on one page. That meant I couldn’t edit the page… and that was bad. I also went back and reformatted all the all-state teams from 1920 to 1948 to match the formatting I used from the 1950s forward. Both changes will hopefully make the all-state listings easier for you to read.
As always, if you can help me with any all-state listings, let me know! Leave a comment below or email me at pschmiedt@yahoo.com.

The 2015 all-state teams and the single-season individual records have been added to their respective pages on the site.
(Unofficially) The season had the top two passing seasons of all-time: Dalton Holst of Gillette threw for 3,190 yards and Blake Godwin of Sheridan threw for 2,471 yards. Jackson’s Theo Dawson finished with the second-best rushing season of all time with 2,283 yards. Madden Pikula of Gillette had 1,014 yards receiving, eighth-best all-time. And three players — Tongue River’s Brennan Kutterer, Wheatland’s Josh Calvert and Southeast’s David Becker — finished in the top five in defensive points all-time.
On the all-state teams, Gillette’s Zach Taylor, Meeteetse’s Carter Johnson, Pine Bluffs’ Kyle Jeffres and Thermopolis’ Tyler Cornwell joined the rare club of three-time all-state selections.

Wyoming’s Class A all-state team for 1967 has been added to the all-state listings.
Kevan Kennington provided the help for listing this missing team. Thanks a bunch to Kevan for his assistance!
The mid- to late 1960s are kind of a black hole for my all-state listings. If you can help me with some missing teams, let me know — post a comment here or email me at pschmiedt@yahoo.com.

A little more exploring of yearbooks on classmates.com led me to some more updates — the bulk of them for Pine Bluffs in the early 1940s.
New entries
Added Wind River’s 33-19 victory over Burlington between Oct. 23 and Oct. 27, 1990 (added to missing games list because site and date couldn’t be identified)
Added Pine Bluffs’ 46-0 victory over Sidney, Neb., on Nov. 11, 1941
Added Pine Bluffs’ 21-13 victory over Burns on Oct. 8, 1943
Added Albin’s 19-13 victory over Pine Bluffs on Oct. 22, 1943
Missing games
Found the score for Pine Bluffs’ 51-19 loss to Kimball, Neb., on Oct. 27, 1944
Found the score for Hanna’s 24-20 victory over Reliance on Oct. 22, 1948
Noted that Albin’s 12-0 victory over Pine Bluffs on Oct. 23, 1942, was played in Albin
I also added three games that showed up on Big Piney’s 1953 schedule; however, no results were available and they’ve been added to the missing games list: Lyman at Big Piney on Oct. 9, Big Piney at Cokeville on Oct. 23, 1953, and Big Piney at Farson on Oct. 30, 1953.
Other notes
Added that Rocky Mountain’s 20-14 victory over Wind River on Oct. 12, 1990, was in overtime
Noted that Midwest’s 12-8 victory over Southeast in the Class B playoffs on Oct. 20, 1979, was in Torrington, not Yoder
Seven games were added to the database. All the changes have been made on all the relevant pages.

All-state teams
Thanks to the help of Star Valley’s Ballard Johnson, I updated six inaccuracies I had on Star Valley’s all-state listings: I corrected Kevin Croft and Kim West’s names on the 1970 all-state team (not Craft, and not Tim); corrected Travis Lenz’ school for the 1971 all-state team (Wheatland, not Star Valley) and corrected Kirk Dana’s name for the 1971 all-state team (not Mike); corrected Layne Turner’s name on the 1972 all-state team (not Lane); and corrected Ballard Johnson’s name on the 1973 all-state team (not Bill). Ballard has been a big help before with some research; thanks again to him for his assistance!
