I’m doing a project for my alma mater, Midwest, and I’ve uncovered a handful of wrong scores I had posted on the site that I’ve since fixed. Small changes, but, hey, I want to get this right.

Upton beat Midwest 48-14 on Sept. 25, 1987. I had 48-12.

Midwest beat Moorcroft 26-14 on Sept. 9, 1988. I had 28-14.

Big Horn beat Midwest 24-13 on Sept. 24, 1999. I had 23-13.

Lingle beat Midwest 40-0 on Sept. 12, 2003. I had 32-0.

Burlington beat Midwest 54-6 on Sept. 17, 2004. I had 53-6.

I also found the date and corrected the score for the Natrona sophs’ 53-6 victory over Midwest on Sept. 24, 2002 (I had 56-6), as well as the date for the Natrona sophs’ 48-6 victory over Midwest on Oct. 22, 2002.

Update 1:28 p.m. March 27: I also fixed the location for Midwest’s game against the Sundance JV on Sept. 9, 2002. It was in Sundance, not Midwest.

I also corrected the spelling of Burlington’s Daryl Peterson on the 2004 1A all-state team and of Ben Michelena and Sean Belliveau on the 2001 1A all-state team playing for NSI.

All the updates have been made on all the relevant pages.

Once again, Jim Craig in Lusk is our all-star of the week. This time, he dug through the archives and found the 1953 all-class all-state team. That team is now posted with the all-state listings. As always, thanks for the help, Jim!

Jim Craig of Lusk has been a busy guy. His latest addition to the archives here is a copy of the 1952 Class AA all-state team. That year, state champ Sheridan landed seven of the 11 first-team selections. Thanks again to Jim for all his help!

See the team here.

One quick update: I’ve fixed the score for the 2011 game between Kaycee and Meeteetse; Kaycee won 70-12, not 62-6. The error was verified with a glance at the Maxpreps recording for the season. Thanks to @sykotyk on Twitter for the help with that one!

The eight extra points pushed Meeteetse’s 2011 season into eighth place all-time for most points allowed in a season. See those listings here.

The 1949 all-state team has been added to the all-state listings. Thanks a ton to Jim Craig in Lusk for providing me with the info for the team!

You also might notice two other small changes to the all-state listings. Listings are now broken down by decade rather than having all the listings on one page; I had to do this because the page was so big, it exceeded my platform’s capacity for information it is capable of displaying on one page. That meant I couldn’t edit the page… and that was bad. I also went back and reformatted all the all-state teams from 1920 to 1948 to match the formatting I used from the 1950s forward. Both changes will hopefully make the all-state listings easier for you to read.

As always, if you can help me with any all-state listings, let me know! Leave a comment below or email me at pschmiedt@yahoo.com.

A couple quick updates:

Added Douglas’ Zack Andrews to the single-game receiving records. Zack had a 229-yard receiving performance for the Bearcats in 1998 against Riverton. Thanks to him for filling me in!

Corrected Wind River’s coach in 2004. It was Rick Lindblad, not Dick Quayle. Thanks to former Wind River head coach Tyler Jordan for filling me in! In addition, I realized I had misspelled Lindblad’s name in the listings I had for his time as the Shoshoni coach; that spelling has been fixed.

A couple small updates this week, most of them for Meeteetse.

The big update is the Meeteetse 1982 season. That year, the Longhorns canceled their varsity season but added a JV season midway through they year. I had no idea about the JV season, and so I added all the games from that season. As is standard on this site, if a team plays only a JV schedule during a season, I count that as a season and add the games to my database. Meeteetse played six games in the span of 18 days:

Beat Byron JV 26-0 on Oct. 2 in Byron
Beat North Big Horn JV 20-6 on Oct. 4 in Meeteetse
Lost to Worland JV 27-8 on Oct. 9 in Worland
Beat Wyoming Indian JV 20-6 on Oct. 11 in Ethete
Beat Shoshoni JV 34-6 on Oct. 13 in Shoshoni
Beat Thermopolis JV 18-12 on Oct. 20 in Thermopolis

I also updated Meeteetse’s 27-6 victory against the Cody JV on Sept. 12, 1988. I had originally listed the game as canceled; it was actually postponed and rescheduled for the following Monday.

I also added Meeteetse’s 36-6 loss to the Cody JV on Oct. 8, 1995. The game was added to the missing games list because I couldn’t determine its location.

I also updated Meeteetse’s head coach for 1986; it was Neil Cox, not Hunter Short.

Other updates:

Found the score for Laramie’s 25-0 loss to the University of Wyoming on Oct. 12, 1909.

Corrected the spelling of longtime Douglas coach Pete Petranovich’s last name. Thanks to Carson Rowley, Pete’s grandson, for helping me with that fix!

All the updates have been made on all the relevant pages.

A couple small recent updates:

Updated the date and location for Pine Bluffs’ game against Kimball, Neb., on Sept. 10, 1954. (It was in Kimball.)

Updated Meeteetse’s coach for 1958; it was Don Trueblood, not Robert Menardi.

I also made the following updates to the Shrine Bowl player and year tallies: Buffalo has 75 players, not 74; Cheyenne Central has 110 players, not 111; Cheyenne East has 100 players, not 99; Gillette has 41 years of player selections, not 40; Tongue River has 23 years, not 24; Worland has 29 years, not 28.
