5 Thoughts on “Wyoming high school football playoff scenarios entering Week 8, 2019

  1. How does the potential point differential tie breaker work for 8th between KW, Laramie, & South? Point differential overall or just in head to head games? If it’s head to head wouldn’t KW be in unless South or Laramie pulls an upset?

    If KW, Laramie and South all end up at 1-8, then it will fall to a point differential for the No. 8 seed. No team would have an advantage in head-to-head.

    I like this website more and more when it comes to football. This is a good article. Other websites have faltered and make you wait 1-4 days for vital information that isn’t a score. Keep up the good work

    So, assuming Thunder Basin and Central wins, it comes down to Thunder Basin #1; Sheridan and East playing for #2 and #3 (unless Sheridan and Natrona win, then Central is #3, East #4);
    Central is #4, except as noted above;
    Natrona and Rock Springs are playing for #5 and #6;
    The winner of the CC – KW game will be #7, if CC wins, Laramie will be #8, if KW wins, CC will be #8.

    In a 3-way tie, Laramie (6 pts.) > KW (5 pts) > South (-11 pts) in the WHSAA Rule 7.7.30 2. f. scoring system.
